Some weeks are harder than others to select the Player of the Week. This one wasn’t too difficult.

In four games (all wins), Tates Creek OF Jaren Shelby put his power on full display. The Kentucky recruit went 8-for-11 with 5 home runs and 12 RBI’s while also drawing two walks. I would assume a few pitchers in the Fort Walton Beach Bash wish they had added more to the walk total.

For his performance on the field, Tates Creek 2016 OF Jaren Shelby has been selected at the PBR Kentucky Player of the Week for March 28-April 2.

With teammate Grant Deaton selected as Pitcher of the Week, this marks the first time since we began doing the weekly awards that players from the same team have won the awards in the same week.
