Recruiting Notes from Northeast Baseball workouts

Brian Eddy, LHP, Worcester Academy, 2016

Thin railed and loose left-handed pitcher with a great deal of potential. Pitches in the low-to-mid 80s now with a short quick arm. Spins the baseball very well and has a feel for that pitch. Tends to drop the slot a bit but has a ton of looseness and quickness to the arm. Changeup is a work in progress but threw a couple with the right rotation. Is getting a little attention from colleges but deserves a bunch more looks this spring. Could develop into a high level left-hander.

Ian Seymour, LHP, St. John's Shewsbury, 2017

Ian is a high level talent out of his 6-foot, 170-pound frame. This was my first glance at Ian and his arm is long, loose, and clean. The ball jumps out of his hand and has good action to it. The fastball has plus action to it and shows arm-side run. The spin is between a slurve and slider, still needing to be tightened. The changeup is a good one and if it progresses this guy could be a three pitch monster as he is only a sophomore. Very athletic and quick to pick up on concepts and make adjustments. Very impressive on the mound and to speak to. Ian should be on all D1 coaches radars as left-handed arms are a premium.
