PBR: Why did you choose Johnson County CC?

I chose Johnson County CC because of the amazing coaching staff the program is built around and the "go getter" mindset every coach and player brings to every practice, workout, and game. Also I strongly felt that going to JCCC would make me not just a better baseball player but a better person as well.

PBR: Where did the coaching staff first see you? How did your relationship develop with them?

The coaching staff at JCCC first saw me at the Central Missouri State tournament this fall a couple weeks ago. My visit to JCCC was a unreal experience and that mostly had to do with the coaching staff and especially Coach Shelley making me feel wanted and cared for in every way possible and made me feel like I wouldn't just be joining a team but joining a family as well and I felt a huge connection with all of them and knew there would be some great relationships built.

PBR: Was there one deciding factor that put your choice over the top?

There's honestly wasn't just one deciding factor at all. After stepping foot on the campus and experiencing every thing about the program and what it's built around I knew for sure that it was the place for me and where I would 100% want to go play baseball at.

PBR: Who has helped you the most to get to where you are today?

The person that has helped me the most throughout baseball to get me to where I'm at is my dad he has been my coach my whole life and has taught me everything I know about the game by showing me love and what it will take to get to the highest level but also showing me what baseball is all about and that's enjoying the little moments and cherishing the love and relationships between teammates, family, and coaches.

PBR: Going into your senior season next spring, what are your expectations for your team?

My expectations for this upcoming season is based around more leaving a mark and clear run way for the younger guys then winning. Wins will come but it's the marks that we left that I want us the seniors to look back on and realize sharing experiences helpful information while also being a positive example for everyone in the program at East really made a bigger difference then going out every day thinking about what's going to go my way or what are my stats gonna look like at the end of the season. Baseball has a way of repaying those who respect it back and I feel like that will be a great thing to carry with us this upcoming season. And for those younger guys to understand and have as well.

PBR: What plans does the coaching staff have in store for you in your freshman season?

Right now I will probably start of playing in the infield but I could also play the outfield but that's up to the coaches and what they feel is best for the team and where I would play the best role

PBR: What is your most memorable baseball moment to date?

The most memorable moments I have in baseball are all from the Kansas City trip we take in the summer as a team and how fun and enjoyable that is hanging around all the guys and playing the worlds greatest game at some pretty cool ball parks

PBR: Who is the hardest pitcher in the state to get a hit off of?

The hardest pitcher to get a hit off in the state is Colby Gomes!
