Pendleton county 4, Tygarts valley 3
Tygarts Valley jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the top of the 1st inning but Pendleton County, currently No. 9 in the MetroNews Class A rankings, rallied with a four run 3rd inning to win 4-3.
The two teams combined for 22 hits in the game but Pendleton County's Timothy Thome (7 IP, 10 H, 3 ER, 2 K, 0 BB) and Tygarts Valley's Brett Smith (6 IP, 12 H, 4 ER, 5 K, 1 BB) were able to both go the distance.
Addison Rexrode went 3-for-3 with a run scored to lead the Pendleton County offense. Grant Evick (2-3) and Jared Lambert (2-2) also had multiple hits for the Wildcats. Rece Wamsley (2-4, 2 RBI) and Hunter Lanham (3-3) led the Tygarts Valley offense.
