Luke Pudder (Lewis County HS, Class of 2015) is a perfect example of the old saying, "Looks can be deceiving". The 5-foot-11, 240-pound RHP does not fit the mold of a projectable right hander, but his stuff makes up for it. Pudder recently threw a bullpen session at the annual pro showcase in Morgantown and sat 80-82 from a high 3/4 arm slot. His 76 mph curveball showed tight rotation with late 11/5 breaking action and he displayed a solid feel for his 74 mph changeup.

Pudder has put together two very solid high school seasons on the mound, going 5-3 with a 2.39 ERA as a freshman in 2012 and then following that up with an even better 4-2, 1.31 campaign in 2013. Pudder has some work to do to improve his fitness, but is an interesting follow in this class.
