A good-moving right hander, Young is developing into a quality arm. Standing a solid 6-foot-2, 195-pounds, the 2026 grad looks the part of an arm with the way he moves and the look of his pitches. An old-school over-the-head delivery, his fastball checks in the mid 80s with a peak of 86 mph. His breaking ball has shape to it and looks like it could develop into a strong pitch. All in all, it was a good look at Young, he continues to get better with every appearance.

Our first look at Young was last March at the Future Games Trials, but he really stood out in-game at a tournament over the summer with his ability to pound the zone and work both sides of the plate. The 6-foot-2, 200-pound RHP shows athleticism on the mound that allows him to repeat his delivery well. He has a quick arm and creates good extension, getting down the mound. His fastball was up to 84 mph in the fall and uses a slider down in the zone to create weak contact and OZ swing & miss. His changeup might be his most effective offering, thrown at 73-74 mph with over 19 inches of horizontal break. It’ll be interesting to see where Young is after an offseason of development.
