Lampshire has come a long way since we saw him at our initial ATHX Scout Day. Now standing a sturdy 6-foot-1, 195-pounds, he's coming together as a switch-hitter, reaching a max exit velocity of 97.6. He's a simple mover on a downhill plane, and generates strength at impact. Strong overall day from Lampshire.
2024 Calgary Summer ID
Lampshire put up one of the more impressive rounds of BP at the event. The athletic switch hitter, who stands at 6-foot-1, 175-pounds, showed present bat-to-ball on both sides of the dish. He consistently worked to his bask-side gap from both the right and left sides and his swing path allows him to elevate. Lampshire was up to 80 mph from the outfield with more room to add strength. He is one of the more intriguing 2027s in the province.
2023 ATHX Academy Scout Day
Lampshire impressed at the dish during ATHX Scout Day with a clean, smooth swing from both sides of the dish. Another one of the youngest players we saw on the trip but showed advanced actions for his age. The bat is quick through the zone, especially from the right-side. The swing is short and direct to the ball and produced a top exit velocity of 80.4mph with a top distance of 257ft. Also has potential on the mound but stood out most with his work at the dish.
