Mix had one of the top overall days at the St. Joseph’s Scout Day. It started on the mound with his short arm action and the ability to locate his 3-pitch mix for strikes. The fastball sat 82-84 mph and he got it up to 85 mph. The changeup has late depth at the plate that is effective when located down. The curveball has two-plane break that he tunnels well off the fastball. He had an impressive day at the dish as well, showing barrel control with 10 of his 12 batted having an exit velocity of 88 mph or higher. He worked in the air back up the middle and to his pull-side gap, getting up to 98 mph.
