Buchwitz has been one of the biggest risers within the St. Joseph's program, and that was evident at the Scout Day. At 5-foot-11, 200-pounds, Buchwitz has a short and quick arm with carry on the fastball that sits 83-84 mph, topping out at 85 mph. He does an effective job killing vertical break on the changeup and adding some arm-side-run to it. The curveball has plenty of depth when located down. At the dish, the uncommitted 2025 elevated to his pull-side, showing present strength with a max exit velocity of 93 mph and max distance of 355 feet. Buchwitz will be a player to follow as we head into the offseason.
