We got a good updated look at Stevens, who strictly pitched at Dawgs Scout Day. Visibly stronger at 6-foot-2, 200-pounds, Stevens has the makings of a quality arm when he puts it together. The arm is clean and it works, living 84-86 mph, up to 87 with a simple delivery and so much time on his side. His secondary is developing, as he flashed SL/CB mix that he had trouble locating at times, but played off his changeup well at 79 mph. As a 2027 graduate, there's lots of time for Stevens to develop and we'll continue to follow his progress as he does.

Stevens really made a name for himself with his performance at the St. Joseph's Academy Scout Day. The 2027 shows athleticism on the mound and can really spin the baseball out of a ¾ slot. The fastball has carry up the zone which he can spin north of 2300 rpm. It sat consistently in the 79-81 mph range. The curveball is also impressive. With tight two-plane break, it has 13+ inches of horizontal break and over 7 inches of induced vertical break. The most impressive part, however, is that he can spin it at 2650 rpm. With the athleticism he possesses and the ability to spin the baseball, Stevens will be a 2027 to keep tabs on in the years to come.
