Came on in relief, sitting 94-96 with finish, and mixed in a slider that flashed average with 10/4 break in the low 80s, as well as a changeup with run at 87. He struck out two in a clean sixth inning and exited after starting the seventh with a hit batter.
Another power-armed right-hander for the Zags, Jessee is raw, but very talented. An Alaskan prep, he has less than 25 innings under his belt in college after a limited high school schedule in Anchorage. He earned the W in Saturday's 2-1 extra inning affair, allowing just one hit in 3.2 IP with seven strikeouts.

The six-foot-4, 220-pound righthander challenged the Cowboys with a live fastball up to 97 (mostly 94-95) and a deceptive, above average changeup. Thrown with excellent arm speed, it was firm (86-89) and moved with late action to his armside. The athletic Jessee also showed an inconsistent breaking ball at 83-84 that should improve as he accumulates innings. Currently, more of a thrower than a pitcher, he's improved command and a better breaking ball away from mid-Day Two draft consideration.
