Uncommitted. Campbell had great approaches in his ABs in the late afternoon slate as he racked up 2 hits, both coming with 2Ks in the count. After Mars Hill went down B1 1-2-3, he knocked a breaker up the middle after a good battle to be their first base runner of the day. He would also come around to score, putting the squad up 1-0 early. In his next AB, he quickly got down to 2Ks, but again fought until he barreled a LD into LF for a leadoff 1B, once again coming around to score as Mars Hill was putting pressure on early. His approach is simple with a slight bend to the legs, but he gets good extension from load through contact. He’s a spark plug type player who lives in the gaps, providing essential ABs in the heart of the lineup.
