4/27/19: Sophomore eligible outfielder with a strong build at 6-foot-1, 195 pounds, quick hands and a loose swing. Good bat speed. Ball jumps off his bat to all fields. Vanderbilt played a pull side shift on him and pounded him inside with fastballs, but Ward responded with a very good weekend, going 7-for-13 at the plate with two RBI while using all fields; two of his seven hits were a line drive up the middle and a hard grounder through the six-hole. He currently leads the Tigers with a .294/.411/.411 line. Defensively, he showed below average arm strength and accuracy from left field. (Seifert)
