Cape Cod: The 2023 NJCAA D1 Player of the Year, Snell began his college career at Auburn before heading to Wallace-Dothan CC (Ala.). As a third-year sophomore this spring he posted 87 strikeouts and 1.86 ERA in 14 appearances over 77.1 innings on the mound. He also produced a .396 batting average with 13 home runs and 70 RBI at the plate. The 6-foot-1, 215-pound left-handed hitter then took his two-way talents to the Cape and produced at the plate for the Commodores with a .342/.435/.456 slash. After his Cape ASG appearance, Snell headed home, but left a memorable impression on the scouting industry and is sure to be followed closely this fall. He will begin his career in Tuscaloosa as one of the top impact JUCO transfers in the country.
FB 88-90 late action. Tight late slider 80-81 sharp late curve.
6-foot, 205 pounds. Auburn commit. Works from a low ¾ slot. Quick arm with good run and deception. Very good balance throughout motion; in control of body. Repeated delivery well. FB sat 85-88,T89; commanded well. SL worked well from slot. 2/8 movement; back-doored RHH and ran away, sharply, from LHH. Solid out-pitch. CH had good sink at 76-77. #19 in AL 2020 rankings.
