On the mound, the right handed Nichols showed a heavy FB that was upper 70’s to low 80’s, topping at 81 mph. The pitch had some late arm side action. The breaking ball was lower 70’s with nice spin and took slider type shape while the change up chowed tumble into RH hitters. Offensively, he started from a slightly open stance and showed a very strong lower half. The bat speed was plus and he showed a heavy pull side approach from a tilted swing path. Showed solid arm strength across the dirt and also ran a 6.93 60 yard dash.
