Had simple swing plane and had level finish. Found some barrels in his rounds. Gap to gap approach. Gast clocked an exit velocity of 77 mph. He produced a position velocity of 69 mph during throw downs; had a fluid exchange, consistent hands and rhythmic footwork. Had athletic setup. Behind the plate, had a pop time of 2.25-2.42. Showed an-over-the-top slot and a short arm action. Young catcher that shows some solid projection over the next few years.
