Brooks Ward: OF/SS, (2024) Catholic High School for Boys, AR. 6-foot-2, 198-pound long athletic frame. Projectable during batting practice, Ward recorded an exit velocity of 90 mph. Began in a balanced stance with a smooth controlled load, then used a small leg kick. Had a short uphill swing plane, explosive bat speed and high finish. He found lots of barrels with loud contact. Gap to gap approach. Projectable in the outfield, he showed the ability to make throws to the bases at 75 mph; had athletic quick footwork, sure consistent hands, and a quick clean exchange. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were athletic. Clocked a 60 time of 7.18 at the event.
