4/18/18 - 5’11/185, R/R, 5th-year Senior- Athletic, medium framed infielder. Well-rounded toolset with a powerful swing as his top tool. Really like his offensive approach and swing mechanics. Swing was consistent and in sync all weekend. Has solid bat speed with good strength. He connects well, is long through the zone with good extension out front. His hands work independent of his shoulders and uses his body real well to hit. Ran average underway and has a great home run trot (video below) which he’s used nine times already this season. Showed average range at second base with fringe arm strength. He has shown improvement each year in Fayetteville and also offers defensive versatility. A former catcher in his first two years at Arkansas, it’s this experience that could add value and attractiveness to a ML organization. Look for him to easily be drafted in the top 10 rounds as a bonus saving senior.
