Thompson is a 6-foot-3 175-pound LHP with a large frame and a thin build. Mechanically he is sound with repeatable mechanics and rhythm. He works from an H ¾ arm slot with a loose quick arm. He command the strike zone with his fastball 85-87 mph. His secondary pitches both were thrown with near fastball arm speed. The curveball has 1/7 action with gradual break thrown a 68-70 mph. The change up was thrown 68-70 mph as well but has arm side run and depth. Overall Thompson projects to throw harder as he matures and adds weight. Other than physical strength he is a collegiate ready pitcher.

Thompson is a 6-foot-2 180-pound LHP with a large frame and an athletic build. He works from a H 3/4 arm slot with a clean arm action.  His fastball is 83-86 mph with late sink. He comes to a tall and fall balance point, but leaks the lower half as he delivers to home plate. If he will stay stacked he will throw harder. The curveball has 1/7 action with good depth. The change up has ASR and deception due to maintaining fastball arm speed. He has shown steady improvement and I expect that to continue.
