Pinkett is a 5-foot-10 175-pound catcher with an athletic frame and build. Defensively he is sound blocking and receiving, he maintains proper glove angles and receives with soft hands. He throws pop time between 1.97 and 2.11. Offensively he starts from a tall stance and attacks the baseball with a slight uphill swing that produces exit velocities up to 85 mph. He maintains balance through extension and drives through the baseball with his lower half. Overall Pinkett is a solid player that will continue to get better in time.
