6.1.15 Top Prospects Games
Fullerton is a 6-foot-1 185-pound left-handed hitting catcher with a large frame and an average build. Fullerton threw a 1.93-2.01 during the pro-style work out. He has a strong accurate arm with carry, he would benefit from staying online through the plate instead of working around the plate, but overall a solid defender. Offensively he starts from an open stance diving back into the plate, he does get back on line, and works through the ball with a downhill bat path. His swing mechanically is sound, I would like to see him take a bug guys approach and let the bat go a little more. Right now his approach is to be consistent singles hitter. Overall Fullerton is an advanced catch and throw guy with good instincts and leadership capabilities. He is short offensively to be considered a college ready hitter.
3.2.15 vs Episcopal Collegiate
Fullerton is a 6-foot-1 185 Catcher with an athletic frame. Defensively he started from a wide stance, and good balance. He maintain proper arm angles on glove side. He blocked well keeping the ball close to him. He threw a runner out after blocking the pitch. His pop times in between innings were 2.23, 2.09, and 2.03. Offensively he squared two balls up one for a Sac Fly and the other a line drive to right field. His swing is compact with a line drive swing plane. He only uses his lower half partially leaving it behind on contact. I would like to see him swing with more aggression, allowing his bat speed to be on display.
1.10.15
The athletic built catcher throws 1.93-1.97 pop time. He blocks and receives well. His footwork could clean up if he would get more linear. Offensively Fullerton has a line drive swing that is compact. I would like to see him fire the bottom half on a consistent basis. The tools are solid but the intangibles seem to better as he commands the game well and has a high motor,
