5.23.15 7A State Championship Game
Ford is a 6-foot-5 245-pound RHP with a large frame and an average body. He pitched from a low ¾ arm slot with a short but quick arm action. During the 7A State Championship Game he attack the strike zone with a fastball of 88-91 mph with slight arm-side run. He complimented his fastball with a slider thrown at 75-78 mph with gradual 10/4 break. He repeated mechanics consistently allowing him to throw strikes throughout the game. Ford showed the ability to make big pitches in big spots. Overall is a big physical athlete with a strong arm and is highly competitive.
Ford is a 6-foot-5 245-pound RHP, with a solid build. He has a fast short arm action. He works off his fastball that is 86-89 mph. He throws a slider with spin and a change up with fastball arm speed, but lacks command with either pitch. Ford's arm strength and frame projects for him to get better, if he will lengthen his arm action the gains could be huge for him.
2/22/18 -6’6/285, Sophomore. A huge bodied righty, Ford ran his fastball up to 94 mph. His command was rusty and he labored from the start, yet he still managed to strikeout eight hitters during his four innings pitched. His mid-80s slider is a work in progress. He will join Brennan this summer in the Cape hoping to get more innings and establish himself as a top ten round prospect for the 2019 draft.
