10/14/18 - 5-foot-11, 173-pound frame. Continues to develop physically. Nice to see him continue to get more physical without sacrificing speed as he posted a 6.89 60-yard dash. As a hitter, showed an 81 mph exit velocity. Creates forward tilt and really drives front shoulder down to create an upward path to his swing. Shows strength in lower half. Defensive actions have also cleaned up  as he was solid playing through the baseball.  Posted 78 mph infield velo which doesn’t match his true arm strength. Infield throwing mechanics need to be re-worked to improve carry and accuracy. On the mound, we saw a personal best 83 mph FB. An extremely quick and uptempo delivery create a ton of momentum towards home plate.69-72 mph curveball tended to back up at times. Changeup showed arm side fade at 72-76 mph. Arm works much better on the mound than at SS, however the rest of his tools and frame lend themselves toward Limon being a position player. Will be very interesting follow.
6/6/18 - 5-foot-10, 165-pound frame. Limon hits from a balanced, open stance from the right side. Barrel tip timing mechanism. Has made some swing adjustments to keep his barrel in the zone longer, gets on plane early; 86 mph exit velocity. Barrel tends to leave zone quickly, has a chance to really move up rankings with improved offensive prodution. Defensively showed solid actions on the infield with a clean exchange and quick transfer; 77 mph infield velocity. Tends to push ball across diamond at time, which limits carry. Limon is an intriguing athlete with some present strength, highlighted by his 6.85 60-yard dash.
1/28/18 - 5-foot-10, 165-pound frame with impressive present strength for a 2021 grad. Turned in 7.15 60-yard dash and has previously posted sub-7.0. Works hard to flatten barrel early and get underneath the baseball. Barrel leaves zone quickly and works to a high finish. 83 mph exit velocity. Athletic mover at SS with some softness in hands. Feet work comfortably to both sides. Tends to push the ball uphill on the infield with a very short arm action, but shows arm strength on the mound where he sat 78-79 FB with low effort and a very short stride. Upper body drifts forward very quickly. Showed advanced feel for sinking 72-73 mph changeup with good arm speed. Also showed the ability to throw 68-69 mph curveball in the zone consistently. Would improve on defense if he could take his arm action on the mound to SS and improve carry on throws.
1/7/18 - Possesses plenty of present strength in 5-foot-10, 165-pound frame. Limon put his arm strength on display with an 80-81 mph fastball with a high-tempo delivery and short arm action. 69-72 mph curveball has downward break, almost backing up on him at times. Also threw 73-76 mph changeup with good arm speed that flashed sinking action. Has some twitch in his body and also turned in an 85 mph exit velo and 6.94 60-yard dash. Really tries to create a deep barrel turn and produces an uphill path with a narrow base. Could be on the barrel more consistently by creating a wider base and flattening his path. 77 mph infield velocity with short arm action. Posted impressive numbers across the board for an incoming freshman.
