6’5-215-pound frame with plenty of room for more weight. Sat 80-83 with his fastball that had sinking action to it. He adds angle from his lower ¾ arm slot, which makes a tough look for both lefties and righties. His breaking well has a sweeping action at 75-77, buckling a few hitters knees when thrown in the zone. Change up at 67-69 is thrown with good arm speed and has depth, along with deception to make it a quality pitch

Currently ranked No. 54 in AZ. 6-foot-5, 215-pound left-handed pitcher, physical with room for additional filling out, projects well. Slings it from a ¾ slot, stabbing action on the back-side, quickly accelerates. Works on-line, opens up lower half on stride, finishes athletically. Fastball sat 81-84 mph (has been up to 87). Manipulates slurve-like breaking ball, features a sharper version that plays in the upper 70s, takes some off at-times creating a loopy break in the mid 60s.
1/27/19 - Uncommitted. Hood stood out from the get-go standing at 6’5 but the LHP is more than just a big body. His fastball got up to 87 MPH and was paired with a sweeping breaking ball, but his ultra-aggressive personality helps his current stuff play up. Creates tough angles, especially for LHH, adding to the toughness he shows on the mound.
