1/27/19 Uncommitted 5’8 165-pound frame was noticeably stronger than previous event. Good rhythm at the plate with a leg kick and high hands. Was able to stay on time and keep balance from his leg kick.  Middle/oppo approach keeping hands inside the ball and drive the ball into right center field during his BP. On the mound, his fading fastball was 79-81 MPH and did a good job of keeping the ball down. As he adds to his extension, his fastball will continue to add live and velo. Breaking ball had 11/5 shape at 70-73 MPH.
10/14/18 - 5-foot-8, 165-pound frame. Athletic quick twitch athlete. The 2-way prospect looks intriguing on both the mound and in the outfield. On the mound works in a drop and drive type delivery which causes him to sink under the fastball at time. Worked 78-80 mph. A tight breaking ball throw with conviction sits at 71-72 mph. At the plate, Cassel shows raw at times. Very active hands in his set up. Works from a tall position into a crouch, creating a lot of moving parts, but does get to a balanced finish. Looks to work to the pull side gap. Exit velocity of 80 mph. In the outfield Cassell moves better than his 60 time would indicate, and couples that with an 84 mph arm.
