6’1 195-pound frame. Stands fairly upright and open in his stance. Good rhythm in barrel pre pitch. Lands square with barrel still, which may take some away from his already impressive 90 MPH exit velo. Used the whole field but was best when pulling the baseball. Made good adjustments to the ball in, shortening his lead arm to get the barrel there. Kept ball middle to his left. Can use momentum better to worth through the baseball and help with the 75 MPH throws across the diamond. Profiles more as a 1B.
10/14/18 - Listed 6-foot-0 195-pound frame. Strong lower half. Starts from an extreme crouch, and works up through the swing. Stood out during BP with a round that included loud contact to all fields; posted 86 mph exit velocity. More strength-based swing, but shows ability to consistently barrel the baseball. Listed as 3B/2B, but may profile best to 1B where the bat could still play; 7.72 60-yard dash.
6/5/18 - 6-foot,175-pound frame. Offensively starts from a wide base before loading onto backside. Hands drift away from head considerably as he takes a small stride resulting in separation. Swing gets on plane early and barrel stays in the zone a long time. Good balanced follow through and finish. Showed strength posting an 87 mph exit velocity. Defensively best suited for a corner infield spot. Posted a 75 mph position velocity. 7.60-60 yard dash.
5/20/18 - Appears bigger and more physical than listed 6-foot, 175-pound frame. Hits from a very wide base with minimal stride. Loading hands deep to a near arm bar and linear bat path that isn’t steep. Made line drive contact with authority to the pull side during his round of BP; 88 mph exit velocity. Corner infield profile with hands that could play at 3B. Some stiffness in arm action, but made accurate throws across the diamond at 72 mph. Posted 7.40 60-yard dash.
