2020 DRAFT: Most knew Kole Kaler would be an impact defender at the Division 1 level. He's an athletic defender with smooth actions and makes it look easy. Clean arm with carry across and a high level internal clock. For the most part, when you hit it to him, you're out. After transferring from South Mountain CC to the University of Hawaii, Kaler did not disappoint as he started every game at shortstop committing one error while leading the WAC in assists. Most wouldn't have predicted Kaler's offensive explosion. The switch-hitter has a short, compact stroke with true feel for the barrel. Advanced bat-to-ball skills from both sides of the plate spraying line drives to all fields with regularity. Above average runner with efficient turns-good from home-to-first and 2+ bases at a time. Kaler started the year on fire ending the shortened season with a .407 batting average and an 1.147 OPS. The impact junior had 9 doubles and 3 triples in only 59 at bats.
