Drops hands to load, firing from near his back shoulder and taking longer looping path through zone; looking to pull. Registered 83 mph exit velocity. Worked out at catcher where he registered a best pop time of 2.34 with 78 mph velocity. Gains lots of ground on throws and uses over the top arm lot. Posted 8.21 second 60-yard dash.
10/10/18 - Squared off 5-foot-11, 190-pound frame with thick lower half. Compact delivery with longer arm action from high-3/4 slot. Lands on heel, never posting over his front side. This is even more exaggerated on offspeed pitches. Fastball sat 78-80 mph and cut at times. Also showed a 70-71 mph curveball with short, gradual break and an upper-60’s changeup held deep in his hand that also cut at times.
