10/14/18 - 6-foot-1, 150-pound, lean frame. Present strength and still a lot more coming. Open to a wide approach with limited rhythm. Tends to get out on his front foot in a hurry. Hands work in a downward fashion. Posted a 81 mph exit velocity. In the outfield continues to play like he runs better than the 7.14. Don’t be surprised to see continued improvement from the 77 mph arm from RF. On the mound Washington seems to leave the athleticism in the field. FB is mostly straight at 71-74 mph. CB shows inconsistent at 61-63 and a developing CH at 64-68 mph.

6/6/18 - 6-foot-1, 140-pound frame. Plenty of room to add size and strength. Hit from a balanced, wide base from the right side. Hands work down allowing barrel to get on plane deep in swing. Posture tends to lean back near contact creating some lift, high two-handed finish; 76 mph exit velocity. Corner outfield defensive profile and could play center down the road if athleticism continues to improve. Moved fluidly in the outfield and used a whippy arm action to register an 80 mph outfield velocity. Posted a solid 7.14 60 yard dash. On the mound Washington used an overhand delivery to run his fastball up to 73 mph sitting comfortably at 71-73. Generates downhill plane when down in the zone. Massive amount of forearm layback/shoulder external rotation. Hand drives straight over the elbow. Good mobility, separates well. Curveball was thrown at 60-62 mph with proper 11/5 shape and spin. Also showed a change up at 63-64 mph.

5/20/18 - Projectable, athletic 6-foot-1, 140-pound frame with high waist. Two-way prospect appears to have highest ceiling as position player, where he turned in a solid 7.19 60-yard dash. Shows some crudeness in swing, but his lower half works well and there’s enough bat speed present to make him an intriguing follow; 73 mph exit velocity. Doesn’t really separate or coil, hitting from a near dead hands position and the barrel tended to leave the zone quickly. Feet work well in the outfield; tended to field ball in center of body and throw with a longer/slower release. Posted 78 mph outfield velo from high slot with shorter arm action. Sat 70-73 mph with his fastball on the mound, showing some downhill plane. Stiffer hips in delivery. Big 63-65 mph curveball shows potential with 11-5 shape and proper rotation. 64-68 mph changeup is held very deep in hand and tended to show cutting action below the zone.
