10/14/18 - 6-foot-1, 180-pound mature athletic frame. Put on one of the more impressive rounds of BP on the day. Strong and quick. Shows present power for age. Does a great job staying through the back of the baseball and creating post contact extension. Consistent hard contact. Posted 84 mph exit velocity. In the outfield feet work ok but needs to improve throwing accuracy to see better arm velocity (79 mph). Won’t be surprised to see Melendez make the move to 1B if the bat continues to be the carry tool. Ran 7.69 60-yard dash.
