Zainn Noriega, Millennium (AZ), 2027
Positional Profile: C/OF
Body: 6-0, 164-pounds.
Hit: RHH. Open stance with a slower gather and stride forward that finishes back to even. Hands start even with the ear and stay quiet through the load, allowing him to get into a strong launch position. Despite the slower gather, he is a quick mover with fast hands, and the setup supports a balanced swing and overall balanced approach. Bat path works flat to slightly uphill through the zone, allowing the barrel to stay on plane and produce consistent contact. Shows the ability to use all fields with confidence, and there is clear juice in the bat when he stays under control. The combination of quick hands and balance gives him a reliable offensive profile with impact potential. 66.6 mph bat speed with 14 G's of rotational acceleration.
Power: 94 max exit velocity, averaged 88.3 mph. 330' max distance.
Arm: RH. C-71 mph. Short, quick arm action with some carry and slight arm side run. When he stays lower through the throw, the arm plays more efficiently and stays on line. Tightening posture through release would help improve consistency.
Defense: 2.14-2.35 pop times. Works from a one knee stance and allows the ball to get deep, which helps clean up the transfer. Footwork features bigger steps but still shows some quickness through the move. Will stand tall into the throw at times, which can affect direction and timing.
ATH: 7.47 runner in the 60. 1.78 and 4.12 in the 10 and 30 yard splits. 22.80 max vertical.
Vizual Edge: 59.3 Edge Score
