Bunnin was a returner from the previous weekends LA Preseason All State which was rained out. On a dry day with some wind the setting was better suited for a showcase opportunity for Bunnin and the RH hitting OF from Harvard-Westlake took full advantage of it. A dynamic athlete who is well known for his foot speed, but it was the other tools for him on this day that cemented a spot on this list of standout players. During the defensive workout on the day Bunnin showed off improved arm strength since our last look at him during the California State Games in July with a PR of 88 MPH showing carry and accuracy to home plate. Then during his batting practice session the RH hitter unveiled upward trending impact to his offensive profile. All three of his Blast Motion metrics for the day were new PRs for Bunnin with quick hands now working over 21 MPH, strong bat speed approaching 73 MPH and the ability to generate torque with over 17 Gs of rotational acceleration. The upward trend to his swing metrics helped produced new PRs for Bunnin in his max EV at 101.9 MPH and his hard hit rate with a 67% showing for the day. His dynamic run tool posted a 6.47 60 at the LA Preseason All State before the event was rained out giving him a comfortable future as CF defender with an impact potential arm for the spot. The upgrades he has made offensively now has him trending towards a strong/impact potential future for the RH hitter.

Bunnin is a dynamic athlete out of the powerhouse Harvard-Westlake program who backed up an impressive showing during the workout portion of the event with a loud showing during his one game at Fullerton Union. Bunning has an athletic build in a compact frame at 5'9 154.3 lbs. with explosive speed (6.5 60 / 1.55 10 / 3.6 30-yard splits) that profiles to stick in CF as an impact defender. Bunning showed that impact defensive profile in the game patrolling the OF with athleticism and natural instincts. Far from just a defense only player Bunning showed well during batting practice with a max EV of 95.9 MPH and a 370' max distance with his feel for the barrel showing up during game play. The RH hitter had two at bats in one game at Fullerton Union and went 2-2 with both hits being of the extra base variety. His first hit was a missile double to straightaway CF that exited the bat at 95+ MPH and then in his final trip to the dish Bunning elevated the ball at 95+ MPH EV again this time going over the fence for a HR. Showing a future to impact the game in CF at a high level while adding in a top of the order offensive potential profile Bunning looks to be a strong name to know coming out of the Wolverines program.
