7/01/20

5-foot-10, 185-pound, strong, solid athletic frame. The shoulders are broad, back is wide, already filling out with strength. A left-handed hitting two-way player. At the plate, hands are held at the shoulders, tilted setup, hands are loaded, weight is balanced and on the backside. The swing is down to level to up, hands stay inside the baseball, barrel is in the zone. The approach is from field to field, showing enough pop to get the baseball deep to the gaps. The exit velocity was clocked at 84 mph, hard contact in batting practice and in game play. Defensively, threw 78 mph from the outfield, the approach is under control, arm shows carry with all throws on line and down hill. From the infield, feet move well around the bag, good flow starting double play. The arm action is clean, from a higher slot, clocked at 73 mph. Off the mound threw the baseball extremely well at this event.  Working from the set position, gets loaded up on the backside, pitching downhill to both sides of the plate. The fastball reached 78 mph, with room for added velocity.  Throws a small slider in the high 60's, thrown for strikes, will need to continue to be thrown with added fastball hand speed. Interesting two-way player, time will tell which way he goes.

Exit Velocity: 84 mph

Arm Velocity: 78 mph

Sixty-Yard-Dash: 7.84

3/08/20

5-foot-10, 190-pound, strong, solid athletic frame. Showing strength, has squared off shoulders and a wider back, already filling out. A left-handed hitting two way player, top tool is the ability to swing the bat. At the plate is balanced, a taller stance, even feet, quiet hands at the shoulder, slight bat tilt in loaded position. The swing is flat through the zone, hands stay inside the baseball, with an all fields approach. The swing path creates natural lift, rolls hands late and stays through the baseball. The tee exit velocity was clocked at 84 mph, ran a 7.56 sixty-yard dash, plays and moves quicker than time. Defensively, glove works around the bag at 1st, soft on the catch and picks, showing rhythm. The arm is clean, from a higher slot, clocked at 73 mph. From the outfield, under control, builds momentum in transfer, gaining ground, through 78 mph, with downhill flight. Off the mound, more of a hybrid start, smooth leg lift, stays over the backside, landing inline to plate with minimal pull to glove side. Could bring more tempo, building speed, arm action clean, average length from a 3/4 to high 3/4 slot. The fastball reached 77 mph, pounded to both sides of the plate. The changeup, showing proper fade action, clocked at 67 mph, works well off fastball. The breaking ball is more slurvy, gets around it at times, clocked at 58-61 mph, will need to add additional hand speed to it. Projects for me more as a hitter, 1st baseman, look for him to hit at the next level.

Tee Exit Velocity: 84 mph

Arm Velocity: 78 mph

Sixty-Yard Dash: 7.56

10/26/19

5-foot-10, 195-pound, solid, thick, strong athletic frame, already filling out. A left-handed hitting outfielder and first baseman, top tool is the ability to swing the bat, has a middle to opposite field approach. The stance is taller, hands close to the body, hands stay inside the baseball, barrel is in the zone a long time, shooting line drives to all fields. Hard contact with hands working easy to and through the baseball.  The tee exit velocity was clocked at 78 mph and ran a 7.91 sixty-yard dash. Defensively, threw 74 mph from a higher slot, footwork was clean, stepping through hard, gaining ground. At first base, works quickly off the bag, hands are soft out front, with good flow starting the double play. The arm path is shorter, working out of a higher slot, clocked at 70 mph. Showed soft hands and correct timing on picks and securing the catch from fielders. Projects for me more as a first baseman.

ACADEMIC GAMES II
5-foot-10, 195-pound left-handed hitting corner infielder. Ran a 4.89 home to first at the workout. The foot work around the bag at first is clean, and he handles himself athletically in the field. Threw 70 mph across the diamond, keep the feet moving during the fielding of the ball will aid the process as well.  The bat has a tee exit velocity of 84 mph. The setup is even in base, front foot steps into the swing as the ball approaches the hitting zone. The path is long and strong to contact. The hands work freely with the bat.

Tee Exit Velocity- 84 mph
INF Velocity- 70 mph

2/15/19

5-foot-9, 200-pound, strong, thick, strength throughout, athletic frame. A left-handed hitting first baseman, also worked off the mound. At the plate, is balanced throughout, feet are even, hands are loose at the shoulders. The swing is level to up, approach is from gap to gap, showed the ability to go other way with ease. Look for him to hit with some power at some point. The tee exit velocity was clocked at 78 mph, with a ton more in there, had hard contact in batting practice. Defensively, has soft hands and moves well around the bag, arm was clocked at 66 mph across the diamond. From the outfield, arm was 72 mph from a natural ¾ slot. Looked to field everything out front and feet moved during transfer. Off the mound, arm worked out of a ¾ to high ¾ slot. The fastball was at 66 mph, needs to locate better to glove side. The curve ball was clocked at 57 mph, soft spin, needs to throw breaking ball with fastball hand speed. The direction was inline. Projects for me as a first baseman, potential to hit at some point, good follow.

Tee Exit Velocity- 78 mph
Arm Velocity- OF-72 mph, INF-66 mph
Sixty-Yard Dash- 8.12
