7/01/20

5-foot-9, 155-pound, wiry strong athletic frame.  A twitchy athlete, has room for added strength and weight gains. A right-handed two-way player, worked up the middle, showing soft hands, moving well to glove side through the baseball. Working low and around the bag, feeds/ turns were clean. The arm action is whippy,  a 3/4 slot, clocked at 74 mph, with carry. At the plate, flat setup, even feet, using a small controlled leg kick, gaining ground. The swing is flat through the zone, finishing higher with two hands. The hands stay inside the baseball, middle to pull side approaching, hard contact in batting practice. The exit velocity was clocked at 89 mph. Runs well at 7.19 sixty-yard dash. Off the mound, easy leg lift, hands to top of hat, loaded up on back side, direction is inline. The arm action is clean and whippy, working from 3/4 slot, with arm side run. The fastball touched 74 mph. The curveball was clocked at 65 mph, tilt and depth to it, thrown for strikes. Throws a harder slider at times, reaching 69 mph. Thew two different off speed pitches as well in a true changeup, along with a splitter. Like the athletic ability as a position player.

Exit Velocity: 89 mph

Arm Velocity: 74 mph

Sixty-Yard Dash: 7.19

5-foot-9, 155-pound, wiry strong athletic frame, with room for added weight. A twitchy athlete, plus strength for his size. A right-handed hitting two-way player, who worked off the bump as well.  At the plate, even stance, loose, relaxed hands, flat set up, is balanced throughout. For timing uses a higher, smooth leg kick, might be able to gain more ground. The swing is level to up, hands are inside the baseball, rolling them late, barrel is in the zone a long time. The tee exit velocity was clocked at 83 mph, has added some pop since previous event. Runs a tick above average, clocked at 7.09 in sixty-yard dash. Defensively, arm has strength 76 mph across the diamond, smooth hands working with feet, staying low to the ground. Turns and feeds were performed correct. Off the mound, has tempo, hands go over head, gets loaded on backside, front side could track longer, lower half is inline to plate. The arm action is quick working from a 3/4 slot, whippy action to it. The fastball touched 79 mph, down in zone, with arm side run to it. Threw two breaking balls, slider reached 69 mph, with more horizontal break, and curve ball at 65-66 mph, more top to bottom, with depth. Showed feel for a true changeup at 70-72 mph. The athleticism is advanced, enough arm to stick on left-side, projects for me to roam the outfield at some point, with legs and ability to unload arm. Interesting follow.

Tee Exit Velocity: 83 mph

Arm Velocity: 76 mph

Sixty-Yard Dash: 7.09

5-foot-11, 155-pound, smaller, thin athletic frame, sloped shoulders with plenty of room for added weight. A right-handed hitting two-way player, is athletic with some fast-twitch to him. At the plate, starts with a spread out approach, even feet, flat bat setup, with relaxed and loose hands. For timing uses a small controlled toe tap, The hands have separation from frame, a swing is level through the zone, finishing with two hands at shoulder height. The approach is line drive, from middle to pull side, had a tee exit velocity 79 mph and ran a quick, 7.19 sixty-yard dash. Defensively, threw 73 mph across the diamond, arm action is longer and clean, working out of a natural 3/4 slot. The hands are soft, fields out front with feet moving throughout.  Turned it well from both sides, projects out more from the second base side. Off the mound, a right-handed pitcher, hands working over his head, direction is inline, arm action works out of a high 3/4 slot. Pounded the fastball all to arm side, clocked at 75 mph. Showed an out pitch of a split finger, downward tumble break, clocked at 66 mph. Also threw a small slider, clocked at 64-66 mph. I like how he maneuvers the barrel to the baseball, legs are a plus, a move to outfield could be in the future, brings value being able to work off the mound.

Tee Exit Velocity: 79
Arm Velocity: 73
Sixty-Yard Dash: 7.19
