Benny DeGruttola: 3B/RHP, (2025) Stamford, CT. 5-foot-10, 170-pound athletic strong frame. Above average during batting practice, the right-handed hitter clocked an exit velocity of 84 mph. (64.2 mph bat speed average). (19.0 mph hand speed average). Began in a balanced athletic stance with a tight load, then used a short controlled stride. Bat speed was raw, had a short simple swing plane and good extension on his finish. Created loud contact and found some barrels. Gap to gap approach. Smooth in the infield, his best throw was recorded at 73 mph; had soft hands, a clean exchange, and consistent footwork. Fielded the ball out front with developing movement laterally. Had a 1/7 curveball (61-62) that showed slurvey action and glove side control. (Max spin 2282; Avg 2229). His 1/7 changeup (65-66) has arm side command and fading action.
