Braden Karcich: 2B/OF, (2025) Valley Regional, CT. 5-foot-11, 150-pound. (63.3 mph bat speed average). (22.2 mph hand speed average). Starts in a balanced quiet stance with a controlled load, then uses a small leg kick. Bat speed was efficient, showed a simple upward swing plane and high finish. Solid from the outfield, he made throws to the infield at velocities up to 75 mph; has a natural exchange, consistent feet, and sure hands. Laterally, movements were athletic and fielded the ball out front. Had a loose arm action with a high ¾ slot. On the mound, showed a compact arm action and a high ¾ arm angle with consistent arm speed Drop-and-drive type pitcher who shows some effort. Showed slight running action. (Max spin 1920; Avg 1858). Shows some action on his 11/5 curveball. (Max spin 1950; Avg 1934). Throws a 10/4 slider that has late action. (Max spin 1977; Avg 1915).
5-foot-11, 150-pound lean athletic frame. Projectable at the plate, Karcich's best exit velocity was 84 mph. Starts in a wide tall stance with a smooth high load, then uses a controlled leg kick. Bat speed was quick, had an upward swing plane and high finish. Created loud contact and found some barrels. Up the middle line drive approach. His best position velocity in the outfield was registered at 72 mph. Projectable in the infield, recorded a position velocity of 71 mph; had quick footwork, a clean exchange, and developing hands.
