Brayden Collazo: RHP/3B, (2023) East Catholic, CT. 5-foot-9, 170-pound lean athletic frame. Capable on the mound, showed developing arm speed, he had a consistent arm action and a high ¾ arm angle. Feel type pitcher who uses some effort. Showed consistent balance point with in line shoulders. Lands closed with a falling off finish. Sat with his fastball at 69-72 mph; had running action and command arm side around the zone. Has slurvey action and glove side command on his slider (60-62).
Brayden Collazo: RHP/3B, (2023) East Catholic, CT. Post University Commit, 5-foot-9, 170-pound lean athletic frame. Smooth athletic in the box, Collazo clocked an exit velocity of 89 mph. (67.2 mph bat speed average). (22.0 mph hand speed average). Began in a balanced athletic stance with a smooth load, then used a small leg kick controlled. Had a short simple swing plane, above average bat speed and high good extension on his finish. He found lots of barrels with loud contact. Pull side approach. In the 60-yard dash, he clocked a time of 8.34. Projectable on the mound, showed some arm speed with an over-the-top arm angle and a long arm action. Stretch only type pitcher and shows some effort. Showed strong balance point and in line shoulders. Lands square with an athletic finish. Produced a fastball that came in at 72-73 mph; had sinking action and both sides of the plate command. (Max spin 1673; Avg 1524). His changeup (68-69) showed fading action and arm side control. Had a 2/8 slider (64-65) that showed sweeping action and glove side command. (Max spin 1216; Avg 992).
