Capable on the mound, showed a consistent arm action and a high ¾ arm angle with developing arm speed Feel type pitcher who shows some effort. Showed consistent balance point and in line shoulders. Lands closed with a falling off finish. Threw his fastball 69-70 mph; shows command arm side around the zone and running action. (Max spin 1814; Avg 1740). Shows glove side around the zone command and sweeping action on his curveball (59-60). (Max spin 1781; Avg 1719).
Brian Thompson: RHP/SS, (2026) Enfield High School, CT. 5-foot-6, 122-pound athletic slim frame. Solid raw during batting practice, Thompson clocked an exit velocity of 72 mph. (51.8 mph bat speed average). (17.2 mph hand speed average). Began in a narrow tall stance with a long load, then used a controlled stride. Bat speed is average, has a long flat swing plane and good extension on his finish. He barreled up some balls with some loud contact. Up the middle ground ball approach. Raw in the infield, his best throw was recorded at 63 mph; had a clean exchange, developing footwork, and soft hands. Laterally, movements were average and fielded the ball deep. Consistent accuracy to the bag, used a ¾ slot with a stiff arm action. Projectable on the mound, showing developing arm speed he had a long arm action with a ¾ arm angle. Stretch only feel type pitcher and shows easy effort. He has downhill shoulders and a strong balance point. Lands square with upright finish. Threw his fastball 63-65 mph. had control down in the zone. (Max spin 1774; Avg 1677). Had glove side command and slurvey action on his 1/7 curveball (57-60). (Max spin 1922; Avg 1865). Has arm side control and fading action on his changeup (61-63).
