7-17-18

5-foot-11, 170-pound, strong physical frame, a well proportioned athlete. A right-handed hitting catcher, at the plate, taller open stance with higher hands. The lower half is under control, picks foot up and places it back down with gaining a small amount of ground. The swing is level to up, with loft to it. The tee exit velocity was clocked at 80 mph, approach is more to the pull side, showed to have enough juice to get the ball in the pull gap. Ran down the line at 4.88. Defensively, had a pop time of 2.08-2.15 with the arm being clocked at 68 mph. The arm works from a high ¾ slot, its short and clean when coming through to release of the baseball. The footwork is accurate, gains grounds, looks to stand up, could stay lower will help with pop time, easy fix with reps. Showed the ability to receive and block the baseball, gets around the baseball, has feel for working with pitches as well.

Home-First: 4.41

Exit Velocity: 86 MPH

Arm Velocity: 80 MPH

3-11-18

5-foot-11, 170-pound, strong, wider athletic frame. A well proportioned athlete, shoulders are squared off, with wide back, has room to fill out. A right-handed hitting catcher, stance is taller, slightly open with the hands starting higher than shoulder height. The hands are loose and strong, they have a little pre pitch movement to them. The swing is level to up, creates backspin and lift to the baseball. The approach is more middle to pull side, hard contact with line drives, has the ability to hit for some power in the pull gap. The tee exit velocity was clocked at 80 mph. Defensively, shows to have real quick feet and a good transfer. The setup is wide, works low to the ground, hands are super soft on the catch. The right foot replace the left foot in the transfer, gets in line with target. The arm action is short from a high ¾ slot, clocked at 64 mph. The finish could have more extension out front, may help with arm velocity. Good looking hitter, strength in the hands.

Tee Exit Velocity: 80 MPH

Arm Velocity: 64 MPH
