In the box, the right-handed hitter recorded an exit velocity of 84 mph with a (59.4 mph bat speed average) and (17.9 mph hand speed average). Winkley begins in a balanced, athletic stance with the hands set just off the back shoulder. He then uses a short stride to trigger a simple, flat swing that stays on plane through his finish. During his rounds, Winkley showed the ability to remain balanced and use the middle of the field. Behind the plate, he was up to 66 mph during throw downs, with a pop time range of 2.14-2.25, while showing he has consistent, smooth feet, sure hands, and a clean transfer.
