5-foot-10, 191-pound, thick, physical frame. The hands and forearms are strong. A right-handed hitter, the stance is wide, even and hands are loose with some movement at shoulder height. For timing uses a leg kick and loads up his hands well and gets to a good gather position. The path is level to up, with a gap to gap approach. The tee exit velocity was 86 mph, has lift and creates leverage in his swing. Defensively, the setup behind the plate is wide, even and feet work well with transfer. The feet are quick, right foot replaces left foot. The arm action is short, has a small hesitation on the backside. Pop times were 1.94-2.07 and the arm was clocked at 76 mph, has some strength is his arm. In game performance was good, looked to throw behind runners and worked well with his pitchers. Also worked out at first, feet were good around the bag and drop steps were good on starting the double play. The hands are soft and arm was 81 mph across the diamond.

A right-handed hitting catcher, the frame is wide, large and shows plus strength in his hands. At the plate, he hits with slightly shorter stance, uses a big toe tap for timing. Hands are set just back from his ear, does a good job of getting hands and weight back in a solid hitting position. The path to the ball gets bit uphill, flattening is needed. The tee exit velocity was 82 and ran well for a big kid down the line at 4.78. Swung the bat well in the game, creates lift and carry to his swing. Behind the plate, the feet are very quick and the arm has some strength to hit, arm path stops on the back needs to keep it moving. The setup needs to get wider and slightly more relaxed. Times down to second were 1.93-2.04, 2.13 in the game and velocity on throws was 74. Shows some fast twitch to him, is someone to follow and see next spring.
