A simple calculation that divides the athlete’s Exit Velocity Max by the athlete’s 60 Yard Dash time for the given event year. For example, 98 MPH / 7.00s = 14.00.
A fastball with hop has a flat approach angle and visually jumps through the zone. When thrown up in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher swing and miss average. Hop+ of 100 is MLB average.
Fastball
Sink+
A fastball with sink has low backspin and drops through the strike zone. When thrown down in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher ground ball percentage and lower launch angle. Sink+ of 100 is MLB average.
Fastball
Rise+
A fastball with rise has a high percentage of backspin. When thrown up in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher fly ball percentage. Rise+ of 100 is MLB average
6-foot, 170-pound, average athletic frame, sloped shoulders, with room for added weight gains. A right-handed hitting two-way player. At the plate, feet are even, slightly wider than shoulder width, hands are loose and relaxed at shoulders. For timing, gains a good amount of ground with stride foot. The swing is short to the baseball, hands are inside the baseball. The approach is from gap to gap, shows the ability to go opposite without much effort, spraying more line drives. Looks to have more in there on backend of swing, could get through it a tick more. Defensively, approach is under control, feet move throughout, getting around the baseball, with momentum moving towards target. Presents the glove early, fielding out front, clean transfer, into throwing action The arm works from a 3/4 slot, clocked at 68 mph, all throws on target. Off the mound, a strike thrower, locating the fastball to both sides, clocked at 76 mph. The breaking ball is at 65 mph, showing proper shape, could add additional hand speed to it. The delivery is simple, stride is inline, stiff, firm front leg on foot strike, arm working from a 3/4 slot. Repeats it with easy effort.

6-foot, 170-pound right-handed hitting infielder and pitcher. He ran a 7.4 sixty at the event. The approach in the infield is solid, the glove is soft and he works his feet through the baseball as he fields it. He threw 80 mph across the diamond during infield play. He does take an extra shuffle after fielding the ball. He can eliminate that as he matures in age. The bat has an exit velocity of 89 mph. The setup is even in base and the front foot gains ground to the ball as the swing is produced. The path is clean and the hands work well. The addition of physical strength would benefit his game immensely. On the mound, the fastball sat 78-79 mph with arm side action. The spin pitch is 65-66 mph, big in shape, as it needs added fastball hand speed to it. The changeup is 70-71 mph and still developing. The delivery is online with the feet and the slot is slightly above 3/4 in height. The tempo is solid and the arm works clean and free. The top half direction needs to stay linear longer as he spins through the delivery of the baseball.

5-foot-9, 145-pound, thin, wiry strong athletic frame, has room to add strength and mass. A right-handed hitting middle infielder, at the plate, stance is wider, feet are even hands are set at the letters. For timing uses a small controlled toe tap, shifts weight to the back side. The swing is flat through the zone, could stay through it longer, looks to roll early, could finish the swing higher. The tee exit velocity was clocked at 68 mph, approach is more line drive. Defensively, hands are super soft, fields out front, feet and hands work well together, good flow, upper body leaks and leans forward at times could stay back. The arm action is clean from a natural ¾ slot, clocked at 65 mph, has a ton left in there as he adds strength to it. Moved extremely well to both sides, backhand was performed with ease and flips on double play were smooth. Off the mound, had a fastball at 61-64 mph had good run to the arm side, late sinking action. The breaking ball was clocked at 58-59 mph, had 11/5 break to it. The changeup is still a work in progress clocked at 60-63 mph, looked as the grip was uncomfortable, reps and practice should aid in the development of this pitch. Times to the plate were at 1.70, could speed the delivery up, should help in arm velocity. Projects for me more as a middle infielder, above average defender, is an athlete.
