8/23/18

5-foot-11, 150-pound, longer, lean athletic frame with room for advancement. One of the better players at this event, a right-handed middle infielder, who has enough arm to stick on the left side of the infield. The hands and actions are fast and quick, feet move throughout, momentum moving towards target. The arm was clocked at 85 mph across the diamond, plenty of carry and flight to it, throws were on target. The arm works out of a ¾ to high ¾ slot. The feeds and turns are quick and accurate from both sides of the bag. At the plate, simple balanced approach feet are even at the shoulder width. The hands are relaxed and loose, work freely through the zone, barrel having life out front on contact. The approach is more to the pull side, showing to have enough pop to get the baseball deep into the gap. The tee exit velocity was clocked at 86 mph and ran a 7.16 sixty-yard dash on a slow track.  Off the mound, has a repeatable delivery, has good direction, is tall on the post leg, works down hill. The arm is clean and quick on the back side, fastball reached 80 mph with arm side run to it. The breaking ball was clocked at 68-70 mph, spin is tight with depth to it. The change up has fade and proper shape for it, looks to be comfortable with it. Look for the velocity to continue to climb. Big follow, can help in multiple ways.

Sixty-Yard Dash: 7.16

Exit Velocity: 86 MPH

Arm Velocity: 85 MPH

5-foot-11, 160-pound, longer, wiry strong athletic frame, has room to fill out, look for him to be physical at some point. One of the better players at this event, worked out on both sides of the field. Defensively, has above average actions and the arm is very good across the diamond, clocked at 84 mph, with carry and life. The hands are soft, works from the ground up, feet move throughout, gains ground. The feeds and starts around the bag are smooth and accurate, turned the double play with ease from both sides. Offensively, feet are even, hands are at shoulders, path has life to it, level through the zone. The lower half is under control, uses a toe tap for timing. The approach is more line drive from the middle of the field to the pull side. The tee exit velocity was clocked at 85 mph, and ran a 4.48 from home to first. Off the mound, fastball touched 81 mph, pounded it to both sides of the plate, 2-seamer has action to arm side. The breaking ball was clocked at 70 mph, more slurve break, thrown for strikes. The changeup was clocked at 72 mph, solid feel for throwing it for strikes. The delivery is repeatable, arm is clean and throws three pitches for strikes, should be able to help someone out of the bullpen. Projects for me as a two way player, get on him.

Home-First: 4.48

Exit Velocity: 85 MPH

Arm Velocity: 84 MPH

7/27/16
5-foot-9, 135-pound, young, thin athletic frame, actions are smooth, has plenty of room to fill out. A slick, smooth middle infielder, who has above average actions. The hands are soft, work fell with his feet, attacks the baseball and comes through it well. The arm is short and clean, was clocked at 74 mph, with good touch across the diamond, could gather more to get more on it. The backhand play was made with ease, and showed good mechanics on the slow roller. In game performance was good, started a double play, made it look effortless.  Offensively, hits from even base, hands are quiet and path is level through the zone. For timing has a leg kick, which is inconsistent on the height with every pitch. The backside could get more involved, would help with strength and some juice. The tee exit velocity was 77 mph, has some life in his hands, was 4.78 from home to first. Strength and speed are a must, good looking young middle infielder.
