7/17/19

6-foot-3, 210 pound tall, big body right-handed pitcher with an extra large build, back is wide, lower half is strong. Solid, durable pitchers frame. Starting on the left side of the mound, simple athletic lift, shorter stride, lands inline with plate, could stride out longer. The front side, comes off target, needs to be stronger and firmer till release. The arm action is clean, quick, works with easy effort, working out of a ¾ slot, shows to have whip and arm speed from the side view. The fastball topped at 78 mph, with a ton more in there. The curveball reached 68 mph, 2/8 break to it, it’s late with tight biting action to it, a chance to be an out pitch down the road. Showed feel for a changeup at 68 mph, with arm being clean and the way it works should be a usable pitch. Works quick and attacks the hitters.  Better days ahead.

2/15/19

6-foot-2, 200-pounds, strong, wider athletic frame. The shoulders are rounded, good durable pitchers frame. A right-handed pitcher, arm works from slightly lower than ¾ slot. The delivery, is controlled simple, easy athletic leg raise. The weight stays on the back side, small collapse on back leg. The direction with lead leg, lands slightly across the body, front side glove could track longer. The arm action is short and whippy, creates a ton of arm side run, clocked at 77-78 mph, more in there. The changeup has proper action and fade, clocked at 70-71 mph, comes out of his hand like a fastball. The breaking ball was clocked at 65 mph, more of a small slider, could use more fastball hand speed. Times to the plate were at 1.47, overall strength and conditioning will aid in his game. Interesting follow.
