9/29/19

5-foot-11, 160-pound, thin wiry athletic frame. Squared off shoulders, with plenty of room for added weight. A right-handed hitter, can play multiple positions. At the plate, even to slightly closed off, level swing through the zone, creating line drives. Showed hard contact in batting practice, approach more middle to pull side, had a tee exit velocity of 84 mph. The barrel has life and whip out front on contact. Defensively, arm is quick and electric, clocked at 82 mph across the diamond. The backhand is soft, feet move throughput, with turns and feeds performed correct. Can work behind the plate, transfer and release are quick with timing. Off the mound, fastball touched 76 mph and feel for two secondary pitches. The delivery is simple and repeatable. Look for his game to climb at the next level.

6/19/19

5-foot-11, 160-pound right-handed hitting infielder and catcher. Ran a 7.51 sixty on the laser at the event. The approach in the infield is appropriate and quick in action. The hands are soft and the release is quick. Threw 79 mph across the diamond at the workout. The bat has a tee exit velocity of 75 mph. The setup is wide in base, small pick up and put down of the front foot as the ball approaches. The path is long to contact, needs to free up the hands to let the bat head work more.

Tee Exit Velocity - 75 mph
INF Velocity - 79 mph

2/26/19

5-foot-11, 154-pound, twitchy, wiry strong athletic frame. Fast twitch explosive movements to him. A right-handed hitting catcher, at the plate, feet are even, wider than shoulder width. The hands are super loose and relaxed, at shoulder height, bat starts in a tilted position. The lower half creates juice to the swing, leg kick is smooth, gains ground with stride foots, transfers weight from backside to front. The swing is level to up, more middle to pull side, creates lift to the swing. The contact was hard, had a tee exit velocity was clocked at 74 mph. Runs ok at 4.6 down the line, quick long strider. Defensively, had a pop time of 1.99-2.10 with arm being clocked at 74 mph. The arm action is super clean, working out of a natural ¾ slot. The hands are soft and strong on the catch. The block and scramble is quick and athletic, anticipates extremely well. The footwork is quick, right foot replaces left, front side closes down. Big time sleeper for me, extremely valuable, can play all over.

7/26/17

5-foot-11, 140 pounds, sloped shoulders, long legs, slim build with plenty of room for increasing strength in the upper and lower halves. Not a great straight line runner but has quick first step and moves well side-to-side. Shows good range defensively, as evidenced by his sliding stop during gameplay. Throws the ball 77 mph across the diamond from a high ¾ slot. With quick, clean actions and a well above average glove for a rising sophomore, he has the skills to succeed defensively at any infield position he plays long-term. At the plate, his hands work up by his shoulders to go along with a leg kick, as his feet begin a little more than shoulder width apart. He is slightly open in his stance and has some loft in the bat path. Putting on strength will help him get the bat through the zone with authority and begin driving the ball. Refining his approach and pitch selection is needed, but likely to happen naturally as he climbs the high school ladder. Overall, a promising infield prospect to watch develop as there are already plus tools (defense) in the profile.

7/17/17

5-foot-11, 154-pound, wiry strong athlete, the neck is longer, shoulders are sloped has plenty of room to fill out and put weight on. A right-handed hitting middle infielder and catcher. The top tool his is overall athletic ability. At the plate, hits from a wider base, hands are loose at the shoulders, bat having tilt in the set up. For timing has a simple pickup and put down for the stride. The swing is flat through the zone with a one-handed finish. The swing could be a tick shorter to the ball, the hands and barrel have life to them. The approach is line drive to the middle of the field. The tee exit velocity was clocked at 77 mph and ran a 4.82 down the line. Defensively, behind the dish hands are soft, with an easy clean transfer, pop time of 2.02-2.08, baseball was on the bag. The arm works with easy effort out of a ¾ slot, clocked at 74 mph. At shortstop, good prep steps, fields out front and low to the ground, gets momentum moving towards target. The arm was clocked at 78 mph. The double play feeds and turns were accurate from both sides of the bag, makes it look easy. Big follow for me.

Home-First: 4.82
Exit Velocity: 77 MPH
Arm Velocity: C-74 MPH
INF- 78 MPH
