Douglas Burggraf: OF/1B, (2023) Fairfield Warde, CT. 6-foot-2, 190-pound athletic mature build. Projectable and  athletic at the plate, the right-handed hitter had an exit velocity of 79 mph. (66.54 mph bat speed average). (19.70 mph hand speed average). Started in a balanced athletic stance with a tight load, then used a toe tap long stride. Has developing bat speed, flat swing plane and level finish. Found a few barrels with loud contact. Gap to gap approach. Projectable in the outfield, his throws to the bases were maxed out at 69 mph; had developing athletic footwork, a clean exchange, and soft developing hands. Fielded the ball out front with developing movement laterally. Consistent accuracy to the bases, used a high ¾ slot and a consistent arm action. Showed his athleticism during the event with a sub-seven 60 time of 6.64.  (Max spin ; Avg ).

Body: 6-foot-2, 190-pound athletic mature build.

Hit: (RHH) Projectable and  athletic. Started in a balanced athletic stance with a tight load, then used a toe tap long stride. Developing av bat speed. Level finish, flat swing. Gap to gap approach. 

Power: 79 mph exit velocity, average 61.73 mph. 66.54 mph bat speed average. 19.70 mph hand speed average.

Defense:  (OF) Soft developing hands, developing athletic footwork, clean exchange. Projectable.  Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were developing. 

Arm: 69 mph outfield velocity. Consistent arm action, high ¾ slot, consistent accuracy. 

Speed: 6.64 (60-yard).


6/13/21

6-foot-2, 185-pound athletic physical build. Projectable in the box, the right-handed hitter had a max exit velocity of 89 mph. (65.62 mph bat speed average). (19.11 mph hand speed average). Starts in a tall athletic stance with a high smooth load, then uses a toe tap. Had explosive bat speed, short level swing plane and high finish. Through his round he found multiple barrels with tons of loud contact. Gap to gap approach. Solid in the outfield, his best throw of the day was clocked at 69 mph; showed smooth quick feet, soft hands, and a clean exchange. Movements laterally were average and he fields the ball out front. Had a high ¾ slot and a short arm action with consistent accuracy to the base. In the 60-yard dash, his time was 7.67.

Arm Velocity: 69 mph

Sixty-Yard Dash: 7.67

6-foot-2, 175-pound, longer, strong athletic frame. Put together well, showing strength, already filling out, chance to be very physical. A right-handed hitter, feet are even, shoulder width apart. The hands are relaxed at shoulder height, flat set up. The lower half is under control, gains ground, with backside drive. The swing is level through the zone, cuts off the finish, needs to get through it more. The approach is more line drive, middle to pull side. The exit velocity was clocked at 72 mph, a good runner, ran 7.27 sixty-yard dash. Defensively, from the outfield, approach was under control, short strider, throws up hill. The arm was clocked at 63 mph. Will need to add arm strength, along with striding out more, can get more out of arm.

6-foot-1,165-pound, longer, lean athletic frame, sloped shoulders, with room for added weight. A right-handed hitting corner infielder, at the plate, feet are even, hands are loose set slightly higher, with a more vertical setup. The hands have separation, stride foot is soft and straight. The swing is level through the zone, more of a pull approach, finishing lower, needs to stay through it tick longer. The approach is more middle to pull side, line drives. The tee exit velocity was clocked at 72 mph and ran a 7.22 sixty-yard dash, moves well. At first base, threw 62 mph across the diamond, arm works from a higher slot, needs to finish it, has some recoil to it. Overall conditioning and strength will aid in the development.

5-foot-11, 145-pound, thin longer athletic frame. A right-handed hitter, at the plate, taller even stance, hands at the shoulders. The swing is level through the zone, releases a tick early, could stay on it longer. The lower half needs to stay underneath him. The tee exit velocity was clocked at 74 mph, ran a 4.59 from home to first. Defensively, worked out at first base, arm works from a higher slot, clocked at 55 mph. Fielded out front, showed proper footwork starting the double play. Strength, quickness and refined mechanical work are a must, will aid in his development.
