6/20/17

6-foot-1, 190-pound, strong physical frame, the shoulders are squared off, the hands and wrists have serious strength to them. The frame is big and advanced for his age. A left-handed hitter, the stance is slightly wider and feet are even, is balanced throughout. The hands are held at shoulder height, wrists are cocked, bat has some tilt to it, is loaded up ready to hit. The swing is down, level through the zone, and finishes up with two hands. The approach is more to the middle of the field, showed enough power to the pull side, was able to beat the outfielders, has juice to the pull side. The tee exit velocity was advanced at 91 mph, time down the line was at 4.62. In game swings were really good, collected a couple extra base hits and the batting practice was powerful. At first base, works well around the bag with good feet, is a solid target to throw to. The hands are soft, fields out front, works from the ground up, gains ground with feet in starting the force at second. The arm action is shorter and works out of a natural ¾ slot, has plenty of strength across the diamond, clocked at 76 mph. Off the mound, worked out of the set position. The hands start and stay high, come set slightly away from the body. The arm swing is a little longer on the back side, opens it slightly early, works out of a higher slot. The fastball was clocked at 78-80 mph, located it well to glove side. The breaking ball has more horizontal break to it, clocked at 62-63 mph. The changeup was thrown for strikes at 67 mph. Good looking left-handed power hitter, is athletic enough to make a move to left field eventually.

Home - First: 4.62

Exit Velocity: 91 mph

Arm Velocity: 76 mph

3/7/17

6-foot-1, 190-pound, strong, physical, frame. The back is wide, shoulders are squared off, will be physical at some point. A left-handed hitter, who has juice in his hands, chance to hit with power down the road. The stance is even, wider than shoulder width apart. The hands are even at shoulder height, are relaxed, bat has tilt to it, hands are quiet in his pre pitch setup. The lower half is under control, has a minimal stride, hands get back and stay back, is balanced throughout the swing. The swing is level to up, creates lift and leverage to it. The approach is more to pull side, displaying enough power to beat the outfielders. Defensively, gets off the bag quick at first, shows soft hands and rhythm when fielding. The arm action is short, comes out of a lower slot when starting the double play. When throwing across the diamond, arm works out of a natural ¾ slot, clocked at 80 mph, has plenty of arm strength. The feet need to keep moving after the toss, wants to stop them early, easy fix with reps. Solid, good follow, pitches as well, need to see him.

Exit Velocity: 86 mph

Arm Velocity: 80 mph

7/27/16

6-foot-1, 195-pound, strong physical athletic frame. The shoulders are wide and square, has room to add weight, will be very physical when it's all done. A left-handed hitter, that has a very basic and simple setup. The feet are shoulder width apart, hands are set at shoulder height with some movement. The hands work freely through the zone, path is level with whip out front, could get more out of the finish, cuts it off at the end, just a little. The hands are very strong, tee exit velocity was 83 mph and ran a 4.75 from home to first. Defensively, plays first, has a good flow and rhythm when fielding and making the throw to second, stands up quickly could stay down a slightly longer. The arm path is short and clean on the back, throw from a slightly lower slot and was clocked at 72 mph. Good looking young left-handed hitter with power potential.
