Edward Torres: SS/C, (2025) New London, CT. 5-foot-7, 175-pound athletic strong frame. Above average at the plate, the right-handed hitter recorded an exit velocity of 88 mph. (64.8 mph bat speed average). (19.6 mph hand speed average). Begins in an open athletic stance with a smooth rhythmic load, then uses a controlled stride. Bat speed is quick, has a short simple swing plane and level finish. Through his round he found multiple barrels with tons of loud contact. Pull side aggressive approach. Projectable in the infield, his position velocity was registered at 74 mph; had consistent hands, developing footwork, and a clean exchange. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were average. Showed a high ¾ slot and a short quick arm action with consistent accuracy to the base. Clocked a time of 7.3 in the 60-yard dash.
