Hayden Ferland: RHP/3B, (2024) Ellis Technical High School, CT. 5-foot-10, 140-pound athletic build. (64.3 mph bat speed average). (19.9 mph hand speed average). Started in a balanced athletic stance with a rhythmic load, then used a short stride. Bat speed was explosive, had a rotational swing plane and good extension on his finish. During his round he produced some loud contact and found a few barrels. Line drive approach. Advanced in the infield, his best throw was registered at 81 mph; has soft sure hands, a clean natural exchange, and smooth consistent feet. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were athletic. Consistent accuracy to the bases, used a short quick arm action and uninterrupted slot. Advanced on the mound, showed quick arm speed, also used a high ¾ arm angle and a loose clean arm action. Drop-and-drive type pitcher who shows decent effort. Showed a strong balance point.
