7/15/20

6-foot-2, 193-pound, strong, durable, athletic pitchers frame. Well proportioned, sloped shoulders. A left-handed pitcher, hands start and stay higher at chest high, the lift is athletic and quick, gets to a good gather, loaded on the backside. The direction is inline, landing soft on the front side, could stick it a bit more. The upper half glove side is strong and tracks to the plate. The arm action is longer on the backside working out of a lower 3/4 slot, opens it early on the backside at times. The fastball was clocked at 70 mph, bore action to arm side. Throws a slurvey breaker for strikes at 61 mph, spin is tight, had to pick up. Changeup plays well off fastball, proper fade and turn me over action to it at 62-63 mph. Will need to continue to build and work on arm strength.

6/08/19

6-foot, 170-pound, bigger, wide athletic frame. The shoulders are sloped, well proportioned. Off the mound, this left-hander, has a quick tempo high leg kick, gets to a good gather, staying over the back side. The arm action is clean with average length to it, working out of a ¾ to higher slot. The arm is hidden behind the frame in delivery, hitters had a hard time squaring him up. The fastball was clocked at 67-68 mph, living down in the zone. Both secondary pitches were clocked at 64 mph, with having more feel for the breaking pitch. At the plate had an exit of 73 mph, stance is slightly open with higher loose hands. The swing path is down to level, finishes with two hands at the shoulders. The lower half is under control, needs more backside drive to help with power.  Defensively at first base, threw 68 mph across the diamond. The hands are soft on the catch, works low to the ground, footwork needs to crispen, getting off the bag quicker. Projects for me off the mound, ability to throw all three pitches for strikes, look for velocity to climb little by little over time.

Exit Velocity: 73 mph
Arm Velocity: 68 mph
Sixty-Yard Dash: 8.08

11/01/17

5-foot-10, 135-pound, thin, athletic frame, has room to fill out. A left-handed pitcher, who threw all three pitches for strikes at the bottom part of the strike zone. The delivery is simple and controlled, arm works out of a ¾ slot. The leg raise is smooth and gets to a good gather position, tucks, lead elbow into the gather. The weight is held strong over the rubber, gets squared up to the plate on release is inline with his target. The backside lower half could be stronger, with a bit more finish. The fastball was clocked at 59-61 mph, showed to have downward action to it. The breaking ball had 11/5 break, clocked at 60 mph, was thrown for strikes. The change up was clocked at 58 mph, with action to the arm side, showed feel for it placing it on the backside of the plate, had depth to it. Accelerating the delivery, should help increasing the arm speed, in return velocity should climb a bit. Showed at times to slow everything down, stay aggressive and trust the stuff, don't place it. Strength and a regimented throwing program is a must and should help the velocity increase.
